高雄市電影館

成立於2002 年、2010 年正式更名的高雄市電影館，原址曾 為鹽埕國中校舍、國民黨民眾服務站，以及高雄市實驗國樂 團的排練場，後經整修，才讓原本黯淡的閒置空間成為現今 亮眼的電影館。 電影館以「國民戲院」的概念經營，全年延續電影相關活動， 常態性地舉辦各種主題影展。其中由電影館舉辦的「高雄電 影節」，更成臺灣三大影展之一，同時也是南臺灣年度最大 影視盛會。

Kaohsiung Film Archive was first established in 2002 and later formally named in 2010. The site has many lives before its current purpose and was once served as the classrooms of Yancheng Junior High School, Kuomintang's public service center, and later the rehearsal space for the former Kaohsiung Chinese Orchestra. It was transformed into its current state after being repurposed with substantial renovation. The film archive aims to become the "citizen's cinema" with yearlong cinematic programming and regular thematic film events. Kaohsiung Film Festival as one of the flagship programs of the film archive proudly occupies its prestigious status as one of the top three most influential events of its kind in Taiwan and is the most significant film festival on the social calendar of southern Taiwan.
